[civsoc-mw] Determined results: Blantyre, Nsanje and Dowa Districts

Dear Sir/Madam,

The Commission has determined on the results for Blantyre, Nsanje and Dowa Districts as attached. Take note that Blantyre has a correction than announced.
In Dowa the Commission also examined a total of 384 Electoral Complaints Logbooks, of which 278 were blank and did not have any recorded complaints. A total of 106 logbooks contained some records. All complaints recorded were resolved at the Polling Station by the Presiding Officers and no complaint has been referred to the Commission for determination as an appeal.
In Dowa the Commission has examined a total of 2,236 null and void votes. The Commission has confirmed 2,228 as null and void, has corrected 8 votes which have which have been given to Lazarus Chakwera of MCP
In Blantyre the Commission also examined a total of 600 Electoral Complaints Logbooks, of which 521 were blank and did not have any recorded complaints. A total of 69 logbooks contained some records. All complaints recorded were resolved at the Polling Station by the Presiding Officers and no complaint has been referred to the Commission for determination as an appeal.
In Blantyre the Commission has examined a total of 2,554 null and void votes. The Commission has confirmed 2,524 as null and void, has corrected 30 votes which have which have been classified as valid votes as follows:• Lazarus Chakwera, MCP: 12 votes• Arthur Peter Mutharika, DPP: 18 votes 
In Nsanje the Commission also examined a total of 194 Electoral Complaints Logbooks, of which 161 were blank and did not have any recorded complaints. A total of 33 logbooks contained some records. All complaints recorded were resolved at the Polling Station by the Presiding Officers and no complaint has been referred to the Commission for determination as an appeal.
In Nsanje the Commission has examined a total of 660 null and void votes. The Commission has confirmed 572 as null and void, has corrected 88 votes which have which have been classified as valid votes as follows:• Lazarus Chakwera, MCP: 18 votes• Arthur Peter Mutharika, DPP: 66 votes • Peter Dominico Sinosi Driver Kuwani, MMD: 4 votes
