[civsoc-mw] Determined results: Lilongwe and Nkhotakota districts

Dear Sir/Madam,

The Commission has determined on the results for Lilongwe and Nkhotakota as attached. 
In Lilongwe, the Commission also examined a total of 969 Electoral Complaints Logbooks, of which 670 were blank and did not have any recorded complaints. A total of 299 logbooks contained some records. All complaints recorded were resolved at the Polling Station by the Presiding Officers and no complaint has been referred to the Commission for determination as an appeal.
In Lilongwe the Commission has examined a total of 6,779 null and void votes. The Commission has confirmed 6,614 as null and void, has corrected 156 votes which have which have been classified as valid votes as follows:• Lazarus Chakwera, MCP: 151 votes• Peter Dominico Sinosi Driver Kuwani, MMD: 1 vote• Arthur Peter Mutharika, DPP: 4 votes
In Nkhotakota the Commission also examined a total of 233 Electoral Complaints Logbooks, of which 169 were blank and did not have any recorded complaints. A total of 64 logbooks contained some records. All complaints recorded were resolved at the Polling Station by the Presiding Officers and no complaint has been referred to the Commission for determination as an appeal.
In Nkhotakota the Commission has examined a total of 1,002 null and void votes. The Commission has confirmed 988 as null and void, has corrected 14 votes which have which have been classified as valid votes as follows:• Lazarus Chakwera, MCP: 14 votes• Arthur Peter Mutharika, DPP: 1 vote
