[civsoc-mw] Determined results: Balaka and Zomba districts

Dear Sir/Madam,
The Commission has determined on the results for Zomba and Balaka as attached. 
In Balaka, the Commission also examined a total of 192 Electoral Complaints Logbooks, of which 134 were blank and did not have any recorded complaints. A total of 58 logbooks contained some records. All complaints recorded were resolved at the Polling Station by the Presiding Officers and no complaint has been referred to the Commission for determination as an appeal.
In Balaka, the Commission has examined a total of 1,612 null and void votes. The Commission has confirmed 1,564 as null and void, has corrected 48 votes which have which have been classified as valid votes as follows:• Lazarus Chakwera, MCP: 4 votes• Peter Dominico Sinosi Driver Kuwani, MMD: 1 vote• Arthur Peter Mutharika, DPP: 43 votes
In Zomba, the Commission also examined a total of 379 Electoral Complaints Logbooks, of which 281 were blank and did not have any recorded complaints. A total of 98 logbooks contained some records. All complaints recorded were resolved at the Polling Station by the Presiding Officers and no complaint has been referred to the Commission for determination as an appeal.
In Zomba, the Commission has examined a total of 3,142 null and void votes. The Commission has confirmed 2,989 as null and void, has corrected 153 votes which have which have been classified as valid votes as follows:• Lazarus Chakwera, MCP: 16 votes• Peter Dominico Sinosi Driver Kuwani, MMD: 4 votes• Arthur Peter Mutharika, DPP: 133 votes
