Food Security in Southern Africa is under increased pressure due to factors including the 
impact of climate change, poor access to agricultural inputs, credit and markets, harvest 
losses and as well as ineffective policy frameworks. This is being exacerbated by the 
pandemic, especially for smallholder women and young farmers, the rural and urban poor 
and other vulnerable groups, while also disrupting supply chains that enable trade and 
sustainability.

This edition of the webinar will engage the reflections of philanthropy as an enabling sector 
and seek their recommended key policy interventions required for SADC to address the 
imminent challenges.
