Victor,
I would like to request you to do a test on the Akamai cache to confirm that a request is
being served by this Akamai cache at the MIX.
As you can see here below, they are recommending that you do a DNS dig or nslookup test
from the network whose IP prefix is being BGP announced to the Akamai cache. I think this
is only from TNM at the moment.
The test needs to be to one of Akamai customers. Akamai say that the publicly available list
of our customers can be found here: http://akamai.com/customers
Could you please pick two or more Akamai custormers and do a dig or nslookup test to
their URLs and send me the results?
I prefer dig on a LINUX box, so, if you can, please use that.
Regards,
Paulos

Please clarify, does this mean this Akamai cache is ready for production ? àYes
We already have one prefix for testing, should we load more? àYes
How can we test to confirm that a given request is being served by this Akamai cache? à
You can do dig or ns lookup and if you get the resolving address is between the CIDR block
that you have given to us it means it is working fine..
On what partal can we view traffic and performance ? àYes we have the customer portal
(network.akamai.com) please provide the user info so that I add and provide the credentials
to you.
We still have a trouble ticket [AKAM-NOCC #B-G-2O6E2PO] as shown here below and we
have been asking on how to proceed, what next ? The ticket is with our STS team I will check
with them and prioritized they will reach you to soon.
Regards,
Paulos
