Hello Paulos,

This is fine. You can announce us only prefixes that your peers mostly use.

Please also accept my apologies for delayed deployment process. Akamai NOCC have already identified configuration issue, which should be solved till Tuesday. Unfortunately this configuration is done in cycles, so it cannot be accelerated.

Thank for the update, I hope this will be completed soon. I am facing many queries as to when the Akamai service will come up.

The agreement that we have here is that only the network providing the transit connection will be visible during our testing phase so that we can fully test the service before releasing it to the rest of the peers at the Malawi IXP (MIX).

So, what you are seeing is the correct BGP view for now.

The ASN 37651 is for the MIX and there are no DNS servers on the MIX other than the root DNS instance for d.root-servers.net<http://d.root-servers.net> and e.root-servers.net<http://e.root-servers.net>. We did not put any other DNS servers on the Malawi Internet Exchange.

Does Akamai require such DNS servers to be put in place on the IXP or can we send you those that the peers mostly use?
