Dear all

 

I'm writing because many of you have connections with the Zimbabwean diaspora in the UK. I recently discovered that despite Zimbabwe's suspension from the Commonwealth, Zimbabweans resident in the UK are still eligible to register to vote along with other Commonwealth citizens in the forthcoming election. I don't know how widely known this is - I just mentioned this to a Zimbabwean colleague and it was news to her, so I thought it was worth emphasising this. Please publicise this among your Zimbabwean contacts. 

 

(Of course, this goes for other Commonwealth citizens too.)
