Limbika,
Skyband,

I hope this e-mail finds you well.

I am pleased to notify you that the MISPA Management Committee agreed at its meeting of
22 February 2019 to collect the Akamai servers from Skyband on 21 March 2019 from 9am
and deliver them to the Malawi Internet Exchange (MIX) where we now have space where to
install them.

I would therefore like to schedule this with you and Skyband so that you can make the
servers ready for collection as scheduled.

The MISPA Management Committee has scheduled to install the servers from 21-22 March
2019 as a startup phase to activating Akamai services at the Malawi Internet Exchange
(MIX) Point at College of Medicine.

I am copying this to Lukasz Janczura of Akamai to indicate commencement of this transfer
and Akamai service installation at the MIX.

We really appreciate the flexibility and cooperation from Skyband and hope that this
relocation will better serve more ISPs and the larger Internet user base in Malawi.

Regards,

Paulos

transit for free for populating the Akamai cache at the MIX. As you must already be
aware, other peers have also made similar offers.

Akamai machines to the MIX as soon as possible. Please send me a schedule that I can
communicate to the rest of the MISPA so that we can put this in motion with everyone.
The schedule will also help us at MISPA and at Akamai to move forward with shipping the
rest of the equipment and processes including a router from Akamai for Akamai peering at
the MIX.
