[Mispa-l] (Fwd) RE: GGC Transit Link Pricing

MISPA,

Airtel has indicated that they have received an invoice from TNM for use of the Google
cache - the GGC - at the MIX.

They requested a meeting and met with me, as Chair of MISPA, last week to complain that
the invoice that TNM has issues shows the charge to be much higher that expected.

Have you received an invoice from TNM for your access to the GGC?

Do you have any comments ?

This issues was on the agenda for the MISPA Annual Meeting that I called a few months
ago and which failed due to lack of quorum - most MISPA members did not show up ...
including Airtel and TNM.

Should we call a new MISPA Annual Meeting on this?

Dear MISPA Chair.
 
Reference is made to our meeting on 14/06/2017 regarding $75/Mb pricing introduction for
GGC transit traffic. Much as we are not against this move we feel the amount is too
high. As Airtel we are prepared to pay not more than $45/Mb. We therefore request MISPA
to negotiate the pricing move and revert back with the outcome in order for us to reach
an acceptable deal. Pending this review, the initial date of 1st July 2017 for pricing
to be effected should therefore be revisited until a time conclusion is reached.
