Thanks for additional view.

Anyone on the list can correct me, including those from TNM, but my reading of this is that 
the TNM CEO did this to correct similar misguided views from this author.

The article you attached, also attached here, clearly shows that the TNM CEO challenged Mr 
Mdeza's view and questioned his figures.

This then is further evidence that there is something wrong with the views and figures that Mr 
Mdeza presents ... how many times are we going to correct him?

It will be Skyband or someone else next - a malicious column will appear and you will have to 
invite him to your upstairs office or walk him across the park!

It seems necessary to show Mr Mdeza and Daily Times Editorial staff that correct view and 
figures are already availabl online, with MISPA members, on websites, etc, and there is 
hence no needs for these malicious areticles published in bad faith. 

Authors, journalist and editors need to be more professional than this.

I also found that column misleading.

And recently, early this week, as attached the columnist appeared to be pro TNM. Shouldn't 
he be non partisan.

I would like to follow up on my telephone calls to you on the Daily Times column of 12 July
2017 titled "Malawi at 53: a technonolgy prospective" by Marshal John Mdeza, copy here
attached.

As already discussed with you, we at SDNP as well as at MISPA find this article as written
with malice and written in bad faith.

Many of the facts and figures in this article are false and seem to be designed to tarnish the
image of SDNP and other of MISPA, the Malawi Internet Service Providers Association.

We find it worrying that many of these facts could easily have been verified by looking at and
reading already published websites at SDNP, MISPA or those of other MISPA members.

We are gravely concerned that as Editor for this Daily Times paper, you also did not rise
enough to the challanges of your job to properly review this column and hence let through
this midiocre column to be published.

I have tried to arrange a meeting with you in the three or more calls on this issue but you
have not responded positively hence this e-mail.

I would hence like to inform you that SDNP intends to publish a paper at the next Malawi
Internet Governance Forum (Malawi IGF) that is being planned and scheduled by Ministry of
Information, MACRA and other stakeholders, to show the dangers of such midiocre, false
and malicious publications on the Malawi scene, on the investment platforms and on the
public.

As discussed, we would like this column to be withdrawn and re-written with accurate facts
and good perspective.

I look forward to your response on this.
