About the Presenter

Rakesh Aggarwal (DM) is Director of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate
Medical Education and Research, Puducherry. He trained at the All India
Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, Postgraduate Institute of
Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India, Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention, Atlanta, USA and London School of Hygiene and
Tropical Medicine, London, UK.

His main areas of interest are liver disease, viral hepatitis and
vaccinology. He has published more than 250 articles and book chapters.

He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology
and serves in various editorial capacities for the Journal of Clinical
Virology, Journal of Food and Environmental Virology, Indian Journal of
Gastroenterology, and National Medical Journal of India. He is Vice
President of the World Association of Medical Editors and Vice President of
the Indian Association of Medical Journal Editors.
