The moral of the story is: choose your heroes carefully. And don’t forget that a hero is human, after all. 
You invited a constitutional lawyer to lead you in Malawi. He was part of the framers of the constitution back in the 90s at the reintroduction of multiparty politics. 
Today, the very same framer, has raped the constitution. 

One tends to agree with Thomas Hobbes, no?
