In a diseased country like Malawi you need about 2 million nurses. Can government afford to pay them?

When I was a kid I was a kid, i visited a clinic in Machinjiri. A friend’s mother used to work there. On the wall hang a poster. It read: “Prevention is Better than Cure”.

Teach the populace to prevent. Zokhimbana nipule ndi zobwezetsa chitukuko m’mbuyo.

Use mosquito nets, have latrines, wash your hands after kupambuka etc.

Usamukhosomolere mzako kumaso. Khalani ndi dzala. Nyumba ikhale ndi ngalande. Etc.

Training nurses to attend deathbeds is a nonstarter.
