The new religions have done good and bad to the African psyche. But the neo-ultimate question is not about goodness or badness. Chipembezo cha Makolo realises that the new religions do not have monopoly on the explanation of “our” raison d’être. Our, here, meaning humanity. And that Chipembezo can answer and has answers to a moral and pleasurable existence.
By rejecting “monopoly”, Chipembezo dignifies human existence itself in all it’s incongruence and asymmetries.

Like most Malawians, you probably have that crap they hang in their living rooms which reads, " Christ is the Head of this House, The Silent Listener at Every Meal...." Somebody needs to tell Malawian men that they are the heads of their families . That is where tchalichi cha makolo comes in.
