Call for Grant Applications 



We invite applications for grants from individuals or organizations to support work that
advances the freedom, equality, and social inclusion of homosexual and bisexual women and
             men, and transgender and intersex people.
                                  
Although proposals for innovative work in general will be considered, activities that focus on specific
areas of activity will be given priority consideration, as a result of funds having been ring-fenced for
                      particular focus areas.
                                  
The thirteen eligible countries from which grant applications will be accepted are Angola, Botswana,
Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland,
                       Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
                                  
Grant allocations will be made in a two-step process. The first step will be to submit a concept
proposal. All concept proposals will be assessed by a panel of peers of grant applicants. The peer
reviewers will recommend the concept proposal that will be taken to the second stage of the grant
making process. In the second stage, the recommended applicants will be invited to submit full grant
proposals. The board of trustees of the Other Foundation will make final decisions about grant
                            allocations.
                                  
The foundation will have between 7 and 10 million South African Rands for grant allocations in this
                       round of grant making.
                                  
The closing date for submission of applications is Friday, 3 May 2019.
