The Lord, who I quote, was talking in religious and spiritual power. His kingdom is not of this world for which it is its light and salt. The Pope speaks ex cathedra in a college of bishops - in spiritual and religious matters. Those of us who investigate the religious and spiritual discourse say that on the matter of celibacy, the Lord spoke, the church spoke, the church can speak again. Celibacy and marriage are matters of choice. After all, when you read the gospel account, celibacy was preferred by the disciples (including, apostles). The Lord is the one who calmed it. There are men and women to who celibacy is a choice and vacation. There are also men and women to who marriage is a choice and vacation. Those of us who marry break our choice and vacation; celibates also do likewise. We have never advocated abandonment of marriage because we break our vows; we cannot do that for celibates. The church today, through the bishopric and the Holy Father can agree on marriage and celibacy - that will be bound in heaven. I do not look at the temporal things you talk about, because I perceive that, just like in my personal spiritual and religious walk, the church corporate and corpus can make mistakes and has made mistakes. The lessons are learnt. That the church did what it did in history is a brutal fact; the church does not repeat the mistakes, it will face new and future mistakes. The church soldiers on!

My worry is that due to too much radicalism, Pope Francis may end up being murdered by his fellows at the Vatican who may not agree with him.
