It was good to see most of you in China! I hope your trip back home was a
smooth one.



As you may have already seen, AAU had advertised the Call for Student
Applications for the PASET Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund some
weeks back. The deadline has now been extended to July 31st, 2017, 5pm GMT.
(originally July 24th)



If you know of very strong master’s degree holders in the areas of ICT,
Food Security and Materials/Minerals/Mining Engineering (particularly women
and young faculty [1-5yrs]), please encourage them to apply. In terms of
nationality requirements, *all citizens of sub-Saharan African countries
are eligible* but citizens from Kenya, Rwanda, Senegal and Ethiopia will be
given priority. Details on how and where applicants can apply can be found
